Hello All,

I just start to do deployment and installation of RAP (Rule-Admin-Product) for an application for almost two weeks. It is for PRPC 7.1.7. I noticed that if I don't click "Exclude Non Rule Resolved Rules" option in RuleSets section. The product will have all instances included that is not associated to RSV I set. That make sense however that is where AppMetaData instances come in. I searched around PDN to find more information on what exactly is AppMetaData and is it really necessary to promote these instances from Development to higher envs ?

As a possible solution, I am thinking of click "Exclude Non Rule Resolved Rules" option and use Query option to add non RSV instances that developers provide for promotion so it will not include any of AppMetaData instances. This application have over 3600 instances for AppMetaData alone and I do not understand the signification since I cannot find more info in PDN on this. My question is what would happen if I dont promote AppMetaData instances to higher envs ?

Any feedbacks and comments would be appreciated. This would help me to understand more about the purpose of AppMetaData and determine if I still need to promote them or not.
