Pega OOTB rules and their Purpose in 8 Version
Hi,
RefreshOnConflicts , PxForceCaseClose rules are Pega OOTB rules. The purpose of the PxForceCaseClose rule : It closes the case forcefully eventhough it has pending assignments.
Now my question : Is there any document to specify Pega OOTB rules and purpose of it. So that when the similar situation comes I will call OOTB rule instead of spending time on the same logic. Could you please let me know is it possible to provide.

I am not aware of that there is such document available which provide OOTB rules and their purpose.
One way you can do is to open the OOTB rule and click on its 'History' tab. There are two fields: Description and usage.

If i know the rulename ,I can see the Description and Usage or I can search in PDN as well. If I dont know the rule name ,how can we find out?

there is no such document available readily. But i have one such that which was prepared by me. But not completed for all rules. For now I am sharing the drafted version which will gives you all the categories and rules available in pega. After some point of time I'll update the same and will share the updated one.
