prhelp resource not found
Hi there.
first time user of this site.
we're using prpc 7.1.6 in production and we upgraded to 7.1.9 in our dev and QA environment. We're testing QA but we just recently noticed the local online help site is not available even thought the prhelp.war is deployed correctly. It is not available in our (prpc 7.1.6) production environment also. (it doesn't look like anyone is using it)
Anyway, so when I go to http://<hostname>:8080/prhelp I get a 404 "resource not found" error from jboss.
But if I go http://<hostname>:8080/prhelp/procomhelpmain.htm then I get the online help
I've followed their guide
did I miss a step somewhere? It looks like jboss is having a difficult time finding the landing page for /prhelp

I don't think you did anything wrong. Normally you would be accessing prhelp from within the developer portal where the procomhelpmain.htm will be appended to prhelp automatically. The prhelp web app does not include index.htm or index.jsp that is why direct access will throw 404 error.

Thanks Kevin. that makes sense. Someone here tried to access the /prhelp directly by typing the URL in a browser and asked the question.

on further investigation, help in developer's portal wasn't available.
i believe this was related to how the prhelp.war file was deployed in jboss after the upgrade.
All 3 files below have been deployed using marker files .dodeploy which would have caused prhelp.war to be deployed first (being alphabetically first)

a simple fix was to undeploy prhelp.war and redeploy it.

This is strange. How did you deploy these archives (console or cli)? I have no issues with jboss eap 6.4 locally.

i used a marker file .dodeploy
which is another way to deploy in jboss

Hi Roderick,
I think you have missed to configure the online help URL as specified by Venkatesh Guntupalli. Once the online help url is updated in System --> Resource URLs landing page. The developer portal's help URL would be https://<hostname>:<portnumber>/prhelp/procomhelpmain.htm. But from your screenshot only https://procomhelpmain.htm is there in the address bar.
Please configure the online help URL and share your thoughts.

i didn't have to update it. Once i undeployed the prhelp.war and redeployed it (via cli), it was fine.
Just want to confirm, my issue is fixed.
