Pega upgrade from 8.1 to 8.8

Does the UI, element attributes changes when we migrate app from 8.1 to 8.8? Want to know the impact of version upgrade on automation scripts. Whether xpath needs an update or not?

@saikiranb3641 If you are planning for Upgrade first run this utility from pega to get the upgrade impact. https://community.pega.com/marketplace/component/pega-upgrade-tools   

As for OOTB UI there will be no change, if you have custom built then this will help
