Pega Platform Upgrade Paths From 7.1.7 to 8.2

Hi,

We are using Pega Platform 7.1.7 and want to upgrade to 8.2. Can we directly upgrade to version 8.2 or we need temp versions?

The below is the 8.2 Upgrade guide. It mentioned to move any custom System Settings from the prconfig.xml or prbootstrap.properties configuration files to the Dynamic System Setting for a 6.1 or earlier system.

So it is fine to upgrade to 8.x from a 7.x system.

You should be able to upgrade directly to 8.2

It would be advisable to go through the upgrade guide so you can determine how you would prefer to upgrade.

You can find this in the link below. Then choose the application server and database that matches your environment

Hi,

After upgrade,please don't forget to define stream nodes otherwise you will end up with many abnormal behaviors like slowness,search not working etc.
