Pega OOTB Spliting tasks
There is a requirement to design a solution to implement, so i am looking information , reference and OOTB features to achieve this. If any one has implemented this or expert in this area , please share with me your thoughts and ideas.
Requirement : Firstly, One parent WO has multiple child WOs', then some of child WOs' needs to be separated from the initial parents, then they belong to a different parents WOs' depending children categorization.there is no requirement to have a relationship with created parents WOs',they should be independent form each and other.

SpinOffNewWork wraps around CreateWorkPage and AddWork, so it would effectively be the same thing.
This might be easier then rolling these activity calls into your own activity.

Hi Phani,
That is not statisfying the requirment. As our requrement : - addtional parent workobject has to be created in different flow, it should be spinoff and it is not required have a reletionship with first parent and child. it is resolved by itself.Please let me know your thoughts.Thanks!!

Please correct the understanding /otherwise/ below are the two possible scenarios from the use case being thought off...
- change existing parent child relation ship...
- RULE-OBJ-ACTIVITY WORK-COVER- ACTIONADDTOCOVER should be helpful
- let child be a solely case...
- not able to think through - other than de-linking parent child relationship/linked property values...
- also, not sure - if anything breaks because of de-linking on a functional regression scenarios...

If you're asking how to create a new case and swap a child WO to be covered by that new case, the following should work:
createWorkPage (Create the new Top Level WO)
ActionRemoveFromCover (Executed on the Child WO, Remove the child WO from the current case)
ActionAddToCover (Executed on the Child WO, Add to the new Top Level WO)
