Pega Archival - Increase the number of cases per policy
Hi All,
We are currently enabling the archival for multiple case types within our platform.
We have too many cases to be archived including multiple case types.
As per the below DSS, maximum 10000 cases will be archived per archived policy.
Pega-RULES • dataarchival/limitPerPolicy
We want to increase this from 10000 to 100000 or more. Could anyone have any view on this limit or the maximum limit we can set per policy or any issues if we change the value to 100000?
Appreciate if anyone have a view on the archived limit per policy

You need to set this based on how many cases are getting eligible for archival each day so that they will be archived in that phase.
dataarchival/limitPerPolicy = Max(Per Policy eligible for archival in a day) / Number of times you are running pyPegaArchiver job scheduler in a day.
Make sure you are scheduling it during the load on the server is low.
To archive the old cases, you can run the pyPegaArchiver job scheduler manually when the load on the system is low, so that old eligible cases are archived.
