How to restore archived case in a Pega Cloud Archival approach?
We followed the scheduling case archival approach for Pega Cloud. The solution archives case zip files to the Amazon S3 secondary storage.

It is working as expected. "Data-ArchivalMetadata" showing the results of the archived cases and respective S3 bucket locations. The search of the Archived Work Items shows only the exposed columns in the case information section with a case status as Archived.
I have a question around on how to restore the archived work items into the transaction database?
The business can ask to restore the archived work item for auditing purposes.

I do not believe out of the box you can restore the work objects from the S3 bucket back into the database, but I'm not completely certain of that.
That said, I have some questions around the use case.
Why do the work objects need to be back in the database? Are you planning on reporting on the data for audit purposes? (If so, would another option be to be able to report against the archived data?)
Is there a need to archive these cases in the first place if they must be in the DB later for the audit?

Hi Nick,
Even we have the same requirement for audit purpose (i.e. need to report against archived data). if we can't retrieve the ZIP files, could you please let us know on how can we can configure report against archived data?

Hi, I got exactly the same question. I have zip file with CSV file inside for archived cases and the question is how to import those cases on another (or the same server)?

Have same scenario, I have archived zip file with with csv file inside. The blob data is in encrypted in one column. How do we read that data?
