We are trying to build a POC where we want to leverage the Pega Paid Media Manager functionality for posting ad’s on Facebook. We are using Pega 8.1.3 version. Below are few questions I came across when learning about pega paid media manager and I really appreciate all the help.
1)If we use the Paid Media option available in Pega, will we be able to directly post ad’s on customer’s Facebook account or do we have to perform some other actions?
(I also learned that we need to a create a Facebook developer’s account id and app token which we should be input when setting up the paid media channel)
2)If it is not directly possible through paid media manager, is there any other pega inbuilt feature or other third party integrations that can be done? If so, is there is document where we can find more info about this?
3)Is there a document available for learning step-by-step implementation of the paid media manager in pega 8?
I am new to Pega 8 & paid media manager functionality so trying to find leads/understand the limitations and challenges that I should be looking forward to.
Thanks for all the help!!

Thank you for the links! We are having an issue currently with the pega marketing environment so until that is cleared i cannot actually try it in the tool! I will post any new questions i come across after i start trying.

Pega Paid Media Maanger is driven by Pega Marketing(powered by CDH) to create a audience target in any ad platform based on the next best action strategy. It wont post the ad directly to the facebook user. Ad Manager will bid and post based on the inputs to the audience. It is a Server to Server architecture here.
You need to provide the description, page name, Facebook audience account ID and App Token in the facebook paid channel configuration.

Hi @ValliDevalla. Facebook, Google, and other ad platforms regularly update their SDKs/APIs multiple times per year. This requires creating Hotfixes specific to each version of CDH to support the continuous direct integrations with Facebook Ads and Google Ads.
The current version of CDH/Paid Media Manager is 8.6. We proactively create hot fixes going back a few releases at most to maintain these direct integrations. That is why it is important to stay current with upgrades.
Also, the digital advertising ecosystem is going through rapid changes - the largest in its history over the next 8 months with 3rd party cookies being deprecated. In general we recommend staying current with CDH. However, for paid functionally it is even more important.
