OpenSpan Runtime is not executing

Hello team!

I am having issues executing Pega Runtime (8.0.2025) in my computer. I have Pega Studio installed; however, I want to test an .OpenSpan package using the OpenSpan.Runtime.exe that is located in th main root (C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenSpan\OpenSpan Plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015). When I clicked on OpenSpan.Runtime.exe, the application is not starting.

I checked the RuntimeLog and the following message appears: "RPA mode is enabled, but robot failed to register. Runtime will shutdown" (Log file is attached)

Note: I am not using Robot Manager or any Pega Server.

Hi,

First of all, go to CommonConfig.xml (under %programdata%/Pegasystems) and disable Robot Manger connectivity and RPA mode there.

Then you have two options - you can create shortcut pointing to OpenSpan.Runtime.exe and add parameter project="path_to_package" in there. Or provide path to package in RuntimeConfig.xml in StartupProject parameter.
