Openspan - Drawing a PIE chart in XSL and moving it to a target screen
Hi ,
We have below requirement .
In an xsl we have some data (say: 2 cols and 4 rows). Now we need to automate below steps thru openspan :
-
Draw a PIE chart in the same tab of the xsl taking these data
-
Bring this PIE chart back to a PEGA screen
can you please suggest if there is any way to implement this ?

The connector that we provide does not have this functionality. You would need to code something in C# to accomplish this. The connector does expose the COM object however, so you are free to explore using that to perform this task.
As for getting the Pie chart back into Pega, you'd need to provide some further details. Would this just be a screen shot or would you upload the spreadsheet?

Thanks sasnt . We are able to do the 1st step by writing xsl macro .
But we are still not able to do the 2nd step . To answer your query on this , yes we just need to move the image (without the associated data) of the pie chart to a PEGA screen

Can you save the image to disk? Is the Pega screen you are wanting to add this to then able to browse to the location on disk for the file?

You can follow the step below:

Create a macro in excel for Pie Chart
-
At end of the macro, please save that Pie chart image in local drive
-
Call that macro using pega robotics automation and refer that image in pega portal
