Not able to import product to PRPC v6.3 which is created in PRPC v7.2
Hi,
We have two applications
- App A(PRPC v6.3) is to create screens and Exporting these screens as a product
- App B(PRPC v6.3) is to import that product(screens) here to work on.
Now App A is upgraded to PRPC v7.2.
In order to check the functionality, We are trying to Import a product which is created in App A PRPC v7.2 to App B PRPC v 6.3 SP 1 and not able to import it.
To Export the Product we have used the control pzExportProduct, and this control is withdrawn in PRPC v 7.2. Which control we have to use to Export the product in PRPC v 7.2.

- Is there any way to make work of importing PRPC v7.2 product to PRPC v6.3 like private editing of PRPC v6.3 OOTB rules(jus for testing purpose) ?
- Control pzExportProduct is withdrawn in PRPC v7.2, which control we have to use to export the Product in PRPC v7.2 ?

There is no work around to 7.2 rules to make it work in Pega 6.3 the main reason behind is in Pega 7 there are many schema changes and new propeties are added which are not there in Pega 6.3.

By default Poduct rule has an option to export the Product. I am not sure what you meant by control here.
Could you please elobrate on your usecase.

In our Application, end user have an option (Export Product button) to Export the product. This will create a Jar/zip file.
In order to create Product we have used pzExportProduct control to that button.
Could see that control pzExportProduct is withdrawn in PRPC v7.2 ( Please check the final rule pzExportProduct in Designer Studio) and not able to use it.
I'm asking which control has to use inorder to Export Product in v7.2 ?

In 7.2 this custom control functionality is replaced with auto generated code. There is no control availble in Pega 7.2 to export the RAP. You can review Create Product File button configration in pzContents section rule in Rule-Admin-Product class to achive your functionality.
