Not able to download email attachments from the Case Overview Section
Email attachments are not downloadable from Case Overview section of a work-object. When I click on them:- the file just opens up for view but there is no option to download.
Whereas for the other attachments ( files ), on click of the attachment :- the attachment starts to download.
Is this OOTB of customizable ?

Are you sure it's not a function of the browser you are using ? I would try this:
1) Try different browser
2) Look for opportunities to use right-click instead of left-click. I have found, for example, that with chrome there are some contexts in which left-click opens the file but right-click gives me a menu from which I can choose "save-as".

Thanks for your feedback. I have verified that this is not a browser issue since I tried this in almost every browser ( IE/Chrome/Firefox) but still I get the same issue.

You could check if the DisplayAttachment HTML code is executed in your scenario and see if you could customize the behavior there.
