make a flow to wait for a case (not from the same application) to reach a particular status

HI friends,

I am creating a case which will trigger an OOTB activity (which will create some OOTB cases). My flow should wait at some point till the OOTB case reaches a particular status.

Is it something can be acheived via a wait shape (by choosing other case) or any other better means please?

Have attached the wait shape img, can someone help withthe highlighted fileds please?

Hi Dheena,

The highlighted fields indicate the case type and the class to which the case type belongs to. When this is configured, the current case when passing through the flow will wait till the OTHER case (cases, since ALL is selected and OTHER is selected, so a param or a property of the current context can be used to send the name of the case type dynamically) on which the current case is dependant on reaches a certain status as configured.

Hi,

Yes, your usecase can be achieved with a wait shape.

Cases of type :

To specify a case using a parameter or property value rather than a case type, select Other. In the empty field that appears, select a property from SmartPrompt or enter a parameter.

Scope   :
Use the SmartPrompt to select the hierarchy that processing searches while trying to fulfill the dependency:
Top Case — all cases with the same top case and all descendents
Parent Case — all cases within the same parent case and all descendents
Current Case — all cases within the current case and all descendents
Other — enter the name of a specific case

Yes, Wait shape can be used for this purpose. Only condition here is that OOTB case should be in same hierarchy as waiting Case.
