Link doesn't start file download if other link has already been clicked
Hello,
I have a template documents page that has a link for each template document. On each link, I configured the section to refresh + activity DownloadBinaryFile to run on click, as shown in the first screenshot. All links work if another link has not been touched. But once one link is clicked, clicking another link does not lead to any file download. I checked the tracer and it is still executing the activity properly on the 2nd click but nothing is downloaded. How can I make all links work always?

Upon reviewing the corresponding SR, we see that it has been resolved. SA-30316 was created as a result of the investigation. Please reference that if you have the same question.

Out of the box, I dont find the activity named DownloadBinaryFile.Could you please provide the screenshots of the activity configuration.

Can you verify, is their any js file is included in Harness. After an event is triggered, it is disabling / not allowing to trigger any more events. can you add a test button in the same section with sample pop up and see is that working, this is to insure no issues with event trigger.

I added a button that triggers a web browser to pop up and that button works after clicking a link, so other events can be triggered.

On click of link, while downloading can you call pyAttachmentFeedDescription control as shown in the attached screenshot and give a try? Please dont mention any onclick activitys. It works.

Hi All,
I have seen similar issues related to links in 6.1 version. There may be problematic data on clipborad. I have solved this issue by writing Java script and added script at harness level. I hope Pega support team can resolve this problem.

I am not sure why you are using refresh section to call the activity which leads to download the binary file. I think we should use open url in window to call the activity. Can you give it a try and let us know the results.
Note: Please check the may start option in the activity security option to allow calling the activity from the client side.
