Library Compilation Fails After Upgrade
Hi,
After upgrading our application from Pega 7.2.2 to 8.1.1 we have observed that several OOTB libraries are failing during compilation. Attached is the screenshot for more details

We raised support request SR-D16571 for that & below was the root cause reported:--
Root cause of the issue is pega 8.1 codeset is disabled in pr_engineclasses. This is the reason, the latest jar is missed during the runtime
Solution:--
Please update the column pzcodeset to 'pega-enginecode' in the pr_engineclasses table and restart the application server.
Example:
update pega81.pegarules.pr_engineclasses set pzcodeset = 'pega-enginecode' where pzjar = 'mail-1.5.5.jar'
This has resolved our issue.

Hi Anand,
This issue may occur when the classes in the package mentioned in the library are not loaded in to jvm.
Can you check javax.mail jar codeset in pr_engineclasses table?
If the compilation error is only with javax.mail classes, and if you are using websphere server, it has default javamail classes which you can refer for compiling the library.
You can provide the compile path specifically for compiling the javamail classes using below steps:
1. Launch compiler from DesignerStudio->Systme->Settings->Compiler
2. Provide Default path, this will be the server path to the mail jar. Eg: 'C:/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/plugins/com.ibm.ws.prereq.javamail.jar'
3. Click submit.
4. Restart the server and validate the issue by generating the library.
