javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses in 7.2.2 system after upgradation from 6.2
Hi,
getting below exception while outbound email in 7.2.2 system after upgradation from 6.2 system.
Unexpected exception caught while trying to send an email message with sender ID of <XXXXXXXX> and addressee of <XXXXXXXXXXXX>:
javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses;
nested exception is:
com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPAddressFailedException: 554 5.7.1 <XXXXXXXXXXXXX>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied
Any suggestions?

Does this happen for all emails or only some? If only some, is there any pattern to which emails work and which don't?
Is the recipient(s) external users or are they internal to your company? If internal, you should engage with your email server admins as to why the server is denying access for these emails.

Hi Nick,
It's happening for all emails and it's working fine for same emails in 6.2 system. When we trace it and see, everything is configured fine and parameters are being passed correctly as same as in 6.2 system. Recipients are internal users.
It’s throwing below exception in OOTB activity “SendEmailNotification”(Activity CorrSend à Send à Sendemailwithattachments à SendEmailNotification).

Are you providing values for From, User ID, and password? (are any of these blank?)
Have you changed anything in the Email Account configuration after upgrading?
Can you provide the complete log file?

We have not changed anything after upgradation, but test connection is working find attached the log file.

Hi There,
This could be happening due to Java Mail library version that would be different for both the version.
In case you dont get any further clue, open a SR and perhaps it would be fixed with Update of Java Mail libraries.
