Issue with Email based Work processing

We have implemented a scenario,where Work Object processing is being done through Email .

We are facing issue where, The Size of work object and the sheer quantity of it is using DB at a very large scale.

500 MB are getting used per 6 days.

I would like to know the space accupied by each work object and hencec ,

Try to decrease the size of it.

I am using Email attachment to each work object and . DWA feature of Pega.

Kindly suggest ways of achieving this.
