Issue with Agent Schedule
Hi All,
We have one advanced agent which is schedule Bi-weekly on Saturday. As we restart node, the agent schedule Bi-weekly on Saturday doesn't checking last executed Saturday .It is getting schedule for coming Saturday which breaks Bi-weekly schedule of the agent.
Example:
Agent A runs on Bi-weekly on Saturday last run was 29 Jan 2022 then next run will be on 12 Feb.
When we restarted Node on 31 Jan then agent is showing Next Run 05 Feb.
Anyone faced this issue? Any Solution?
Thanks in advance.

When you restart ,Logically , Agent Schedule as it is a data instance will be deleted and Master agent will create the new instance from the settings of the Agent rule. As the settings are biweekly , after restart it takes next immediate saturday and from then it will take biweeky gap.
May be this is the reason. Any one can correct if something else is the reason.

As of now I can think of is , you can disable this agent for the current week . and enable it from week it should run biweekly.
Cons:
When ever restart is done , this is the manual activity you need to perform.
let me check if any other approach . Also lets wait for other collaborators for theirs approaches well.

When an environment is getting restarted agent schedule should not get generated newly on its own, system should retain the existing schedule only..
Restart will not delete any data instance directly, you could raise an SR with pega with pega team and check why after each server restart agent schedule is getting generated newly.. SR team could help you in getting solution for this issue..

You might need to raise an SR to get some proper solution for this. Because lot of agent schedule related process code would be internal we will not be able to see the back-end configuration of pega..
I am seeing you are using 8.5 version pega, please give a try by using job scheduler with a same configuration and check after restart you are getting same issue in job scheduler also. If job scheduler is working fine then you can turn off agent and you can use job scheduler..

Thanks for Inputs
I have raised SR for this issue. And I will try job scheduler approach as well.

When you say agent scheduled is not getting created, May I know where did you check when the agent schedule is created.
Also considering your case as true, then the last run will also be retained based on which next run should be scheduled which is not happening in your case.
I am sure new data agent schedule is getting created.
