Interrogating windows application

Hi All, I am trying to interrogate a windows application and when I start interrogation, the Interrogation form only shows Default, Debug Matching and Replace Control options.I got a menu bar in the app and need to interrogate the menu items.I am new to the automation and can anybody give suggestions how to do it or do I have to ask for translators from Pega to interrogate this particular app?
