Interrogating HPALM application
Hi,
I am not able to interrogate controls in ALM web application(which has .jsp in its URL). Whenever I try to interrogate it takes the whole windows form as a control.
If anyone has experienced same issue, please provide inputs.

I don't have any experience with that application specifically, however when I have seen similar behavior, I usually do the following;
- Use Process Explorer to make examine the application. You can see if the controls in the middle are actually another application being hosted that you might need to add to your adapter. You can also see the DLLs loaded to get an idea of what technology the application is built with.
- Use Spy++ to see if the controls inside the form actually register as controls (i.e. they have window handles).
- In the adapter, examine the Windows and Web Controls tabs to see if you see any controls appearing there. If so, your application may have a parent control on top of the other controls which prevents you from using the bullseye.
- Enable HookChildProcesses to see if you are able to interrogate controls within the form.
