Interaction History usage best practices

Hi,

Greetings. Client's projected IH records based on the traffic is estimated around 88million in a month for maximum of 4 NBAs. I am aware that having high volumes of records in IH tables will have adverse impact on performance, i am looking at prior experiences from anyone on this, please let me know if there are any best recommendations on IH usage, archival and retrieval mechanism of IH data. We are on CDH v8.5 and Pega v8.5.4 hosted on Pega Cloud.

@KOMARINA Couple of things to consider 1) Evaluate if IH summaries can be used instead                  https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/decision-management/86/creating-summaries

2) Keep the data to last x days based on the decision time used in interaction history component
