How to schedule advance agents run sequentially ?
Hi All,
We have different advance agents in 3 application (all three applications are in same server) ,
For Eg,
1) Agent A in Rule set:A1 and its in application 1
2) Agent B in Rule set:B1 , its in application 2
3) Agent C in Rule set:C1 , its in application 3
Is there any way to run the agent B only when the agent A completes its execution.Same like C should start execution only after the completion of agent B ?

Hi Mithun,
You can try to set a property to boolean value and check that property before running the 2nd agent and 3rd agent. If those property set to true then trigger agent activity otherwise skip those agent run.

It seems that you misunderstand the definition and a purpose of an agent.
If you want to trigger task C after task B after task A, they are not agents, it's a sequence of jobs.
Agent - it's a background process (generally, independent of a context - it just runs with some interval).
Basically, here you should have only 1 agent with a sequece of activities to run

You can start to schedule the agents in such a way that there's ample amount of time between their runs and then you can fine-tune it to a point where it is almost sequential.
Otherwise as commented above, you should have only 1 agent with a sequence of activities to run.

Are the applications A ,B, and C related in some way like A built on B and B built on C.
If so, you dont need agents for B,C. Agents in these can be called in the last step of agent activity A
If not, you may need to expose services from B and C with proper authentication call in agent activity in application A.
OR you can create declare trigger rules in B and C which watch for a property update in certain DB table that gets updated by agent in application A.

If you can explain your requirement through a business scenario, then there could be a way of doing this using a single agents instead of multiple.
Based on what you explained on high level, there are couple of ways of doing this.
You can keep a database table where you can make an entry once the agent completes its processing. Agent B will wake up, check the table and will either do its work or skip depending on whether Agent A has put its entry in this table.
In case the applications can access each other, then you can keep Agent A as Advanced, and B and C as Standard. This way, once Agent A completes its processing, it will queue an entry for Agent B.
