How to restrict the Work Object creation on particular access group?
Hi,
I have a question here, how to restrict the Work Object creation on particular access group?
For Example : Currently if i login with Administrator access group i am able to create 5 different Work objects(on click of create button i am getting 5 options called A, B, C, D and E).
My requirement is if i login with "Manager" access group i want only 2 Work Object Creation privilege (I.e A and C).
How to restrict this Work Object creation based on access group ?
I have tried with "Access Group" Work Pool and Case Type Settings option but no luck.
I am using 7.1.9 .Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi Sowmya,
You can try to add privilege on pyStartcase flow of the particular case type.
The privileges are present in Process tab of flow.

Hi Sowmya,
Each case type eventually have one starter flow. So, you can go to your starter flow (Pega 7 and above it's pyStartCase if you leverage Case Designer) rule definition. Go to Process Tab and use Start Conditions and/or Security options. If you use security option, only users who have at least one of the privileges listed to use this flow as shown in my attachment for this section.

Hi,
I had the same issue, and wanted also to control the list of case types in the menu. Just for the record, here is how I've done (in 7.3)
I configured the rule pyCreateCaseMenu, and added a when rule to control the visibility. See screenshot attached.

Hi,
Have one more question , how to handle performance issue ?
In my case as soon as i click on dashboard it is taking 37 seconds to load the dashboard and dashboard consists of 5 dynamic layouts..
Is there any thoughts on this issue ?

Hi Sowmya,
As far as my knowledge goes, The Dashboard contains multiple charts whose source would be report definitions. The performance would be the performance of report definitions. You can get a better performance if you can fine tune any custom charts that you have in the dashboard. One common thing would be to remove any unwanted columns from report definition and having only the optimised properties in the report definition.
On a side note, I would recommend you to create a new post for a new query as it would have better visibility and more chances of responses.
