How to Map Persona to Existing Access Groups in an application
We have migrating from pega 8.1.1 to 8.4.1. We see persona's is a new intutive feature introduced and we wanted to see if we can adopt to personas with minimal disruptions and control our portal navigation menu options based on personas.
We see that when we create persona's it creates a new access group. Is there a way where we can map persona's to existing access groups?

Hi Himanshu,
After moving to 8.4.1, when you move to App Studio you should see an overlay to update the application. You can click on Start now on that. Once done, it would create personas for your access groups and data objects for the existing data types. That should get you what you are looking for.
This would take few seconds and once done you would see a confirmation message.

IS there a way to get this overlay again for existing app which we already moved to 8.4.1
I guess we either closed it or even if we clicked Start Now it did not create Personas. So any way we can kick start this again?

Hi Himanshu,
The update process doesn't create persona for the Access groups which has access to workspaces like Dev Studio or App Studio. Its assumed that they are for the developers, not for the personas of the application. May be all your access groups have access to workspaces. Thats why the personas might not have got created with the update process.
By the way, you can run pxCreatePersonaFromRole by passing the Access group name and skipping the workspace check.
