How to handle the server or portal if the response is slow and the time is not fixed

I am doing the ERP automation in one the ERP session the data download is taking more time - sometimes it takes 20 mins and sometimes 2 minutes only.
I tried to use the Wait for Create and Pause both methods but still it is not working as there is no time window we can set for the control creation.
Is there any other method we can use in Pega to fix this issue and also suggest what is the best way to handle such cases.

Try reading about try catch (Wrapped in a for loop with Mode abort; or try Mode retry). Basically, you are asking for infinite wait. So, you wait again on timeout.
