there is no out of the box control available at present which can embed an icon like this. It is majorly driven by the UI element that you have selected in the control level  ( text input, text area, auto complete etc )

However, there is a provision to define your own style ( under the Presentation header , Style field ) where you can define your style which you want to appear at runtime. Try using custom css in your custom control and check whether you can achieve your design or not.

As said by @Santanu, we dont have OOTB functionality, but you can try to look into this OOTB rule "pzStudioHeaderTools" this might help you.

I dont think this is possible OOTB. As Santanu suggested, we can add an image using Style feild. But i dont think we will be able to add an icon that performs certain actions.

Instead please try adding the icon beside the text feild and add a visible when/disable when on that icon. Or you can try acheiving it using custom control.

you may use link with image source with attributes , z-index and position to make it appear inside the text input.

Thanks for your helpful inputs. I was thinking to look at the source code of date picker control where you can launch the calender. However it cannot viewed from the pxDateTime control. Does anyone know how to get the source code for date picker control?
