How does Pega populate child offers for a bundle action
Hi,
I am trying to implement bundled offer in Pega Marketing. I have configured 1 action as a bundled parent and have provided a Bundle Name. The type is grouped offer.
For other 2 Actions , I have configured as not a parent and have assigned the same Bundle Name. However , I am not getting the child offers in output.
I want to know how the child members should be populated in OOTB ? I have read a lot of articles in pdn, without much help.

Hi Aniket,
It looks like you have started doing the right things.
There is a section in this user guide on "Action Bundles" (Page 227) which goes into some detail on the different configuration options.

If you have been through that I would like to know a little bit more about your statement "...not getting the child offers in output." Can you confirm if you are seeing 3 rows in your campaign runs batch out table? There should be one for the parent and one for each of the children. If there are not, there could be an issue with your strategy and I would want to know more about that. There is a simple example in the user guide that you could recreate if this is the case.
If there are three rows and the bundle properties are set correctly, are you sending an email treatment as part of your parent offer? (It would be good to see your offer flow). Assuming you are, did you include the BundleTemplate treatment, or did you create your own treatment? I would suggest testing with the template to start with, then you should see the bundle members.

Thanks for replying. I tried this time with a fixed bundle without any difference in result i.e. I only see the parent action getting stored in batch out and IH tables. I am using 8.5. Attaching the screenshot of pertinent steps.

I have now tried using the Bundle strategy in 8.4 i.e. TopOfferOrBundleForOutbound and it works fine.
There is an issue in this strategy in 8.5 i.e. the join condition has a condition check for BundleParent=true.
This will never be true for child offers , because of which all child offers will be excluded.
Is it an issue or deliberately done?
