Call API directly from offer flow
Hi,
We have an requirement to send SMS to the eligible customer based on the campaign execution strategy output which include offerflow execution.
Now, As per our organization architecture, we cannot send SMS directly to customer, instead we have to use mulesoft as API and send SMS via SMS service provider.
Our requirement doesn't want to output the SMS treatment in a text or DB file.
So my question: is it possible to call API directly from offer flow? if yes how.

Technically Yes,
Option 1: Drag decision shape, selection either Boolean expression or Decision tree or table , call Data page from that rules, which calls Connect-XX rule or an Activity which uses Connect-XX rules.
Option 2: Drag Hand Off shape, which can call a Flow. Flow Can have a integration shape or an utility, which call Connect -XXX method.

@victor, while @krishna_1217 is technically correct, that would not be a recommended practice. Both those approaches would create offer flow performance bottlenecks and a potential future upgrade impact. Instead, I recommend that you extract the actions to a DB and have a job that periodically reads this DB via a data flow and calls your API from this separated flow that can now be monitored and managed independently of the offer flow infrastructure.

Totally agree, That is the reason I clearly maintained "Technically Yes".
Your design seems to be proper design pattern.
Only part I could not understand is "what are the potential future upgrade impact for Option 2"?
If you can explain that will be useful.
