How to change the branding on pulse email notifications?

I want to change the ootb branding on the pulse email notifications that get sent when a private post is made. I've made changes to the sections pyEmailHeader and pyPulseEmailFooter and now the correspondence rules (pyAddUserMentionedPost) look correct and have the new branding. However when the email is sent it continues to use the old sections for pyEmailHeader and pyPulseEmailFooter.

Can anybody help me out with what i have missed?

I guess, the agent which is sending emails (or the one, who generates the correspondence) is not pointing to the right access group. Thus, it picks up old versions of the rules.
