Generate .p12 certificate to build android mobile app
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to build a mobile app for Android. Asks for .p12 certifcate. Could you please help me on how to generate .p12 certificate.
Channels and Interfaces > mobile > selected android > certificate is mandatory (expects .p12 certificate)

In Pega 8,While building a new certificate set for ios ,We can see an option "Enable a simplified Certificate set (unsigned application)" under Advanced.Whereas we don't see any such option for Android,
1) Is there a way to get this option for android as well?
2) How do we generate p12 file for android mobile app in pega 8?

Hi,
If you don't have Android Studio installed, you still can generate the .p12 certificate using Java Keytool utility that comes with any standard JDK distribution and can be located at %JAVA_HOME%\bin. On Windows this would usually be C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin.
So on Windows, open a command prompt and switch to that directory and run below command after changing the "AppName" with your application name.
keytool -genkey -v -keystore AppName.key.p12 -alias AppName -keyalg RSA -keysize 2048 -storetype pkcs12 -validity 10000
You will be asked to set a password, first name, last name, Org, city, state country etc...
The .p12 file will be generated and saved to same folder in which you are in. Here validity 10000 means 10000 days.

Thank you both of you. I am able to generate the p12 file and able to upload in pega to build the android mobile app successfully.
Now when I try to build the same,I am getting the below error,Any Suggestions on this?Thanks
