Externalizing ejb-jar.xml
Hello,
I am trying to find out a way to externalize ejb-jar.xml in prbeans.jar. Any change in this file requires a redeployment of the application and I want to avoid this.
We have generic JVM arguments keys to externalize prlog4j2 and prconfig files as follows:
-Dpegarules.logging.configuration=/.../.../location of the file/
-Dpegarules.config-/../../location of the file/
I am looking for one to externalize ejb-jar.xml file.

in JEE world, ejb modules are basic deployment units, why would you want to do that? What are your use cases? Are you trying to deploy your own MDB (Message-Driven-Bean)?

Yes KevinZheng, we have own MDBs that we update in ejb-jar.xml. We are in the process of automating setup/deployments and it will be easier to externalize the configuration files for any changes to MDBs and other configurations. prlog4j2 and prconfig xml files have been externalized and working fine.

The recommended approach is to generate your own MDB ejb modules and leave the OOTB prbeans.jar (where ejb-jar.xml resides) alone, see this link: https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/deploying-jms-message-driven-bean-mdb-represents-jms-mdb-listener-pega-7. The approach is the new way of deploying MDB since 7.1.8.
