Exposing Pega Reports to Data Visualization Tools like Power BI
Hi Team,
Like any other OOTB Pega API's with some parameters, Could Pega systems introduce a category called "Reports" through which Pega could provide API's like below
1) Fetch Cases by Status(Open, Closed etc.,) - Not sending Large number of cases but with filtering like Daily, Weekly, Monthly through API.
2) Fetch Cases Volume- Not sending Large number of cases, but with filtering like Daily, Weekly, Monthly through API.
3) Fetch Daily Process Resolution -- Not sending Large number of cases, but with filtering like Daily, Weekly, Monthly through API.
All above mentioned reports are OOTB only.
While I was research on this topic I found in below link that a custom connector is built in Sales Automation to integrate with Power BI, but unfortunately we are not using sales automation.
I could sense that this request might have come to earlier or there could be already a thought process from Pega side, Could you please have a look into it and share your inputs/feedback.

@Shyam G from my experience usually BIX extracts with daily batches are used to integrate with external data lakes:

@Dima K Thanks , We are using BIX for external data and putting file in external lakes which is like data getting stored in a file system. But for loading real time dashboards reflecting data from multiple application with some Permutations and combinations of data as well as file system .

@Shyam G If you are using any third party reporting tools then the reports should be created in that system and they will get data set from the source system. Depending on your data to be passed you can create your extraction strategy, if case data then choose BIX or another approach as per you need. Result should be all the data in seperate table as exposed columns. Now pass this data to the reporting system.
If you see the exmaple the only thing you have is the PBIX ( which is Power BI Template) so with pega you can only push ootb tables which can be templated or else you create the same template in powerBI and have the same report in Pega and follow the steps here for integration it will work.
