Error while deploying prpc_j2ee14_jboss61JBM.ear file into JBoss 6.4.8

Hi,

We are getting errors while deploying the prpc_j2ee14_jboss61JBM.ear file into JBoss 6.4.8 from admin console.

Below is the exception coming on the console. Attached the console.log file.

Hi All,

Thanks for your reply. We were able to deploy the ear file but it was not launching the application.

However we decided to upgrade the DB from 6.3 to 7.3 and then deploy the ear files. Currently we are working on the DB upgrade.

Hi,

From the error stack trace I can see Datasource is not configured properly, not able to load required classed from the Database. Please check is rule base setup completed and configure the jdbc/PegaRULES.

Hi Please verify if you have made the following changes 

  1. Locate the PegaRULES datasource resource section. It will look similar to the following:

                              <resource-ref id="ResourceRef_1">

                              <description>PegaRULES datasource</description>

                                             <res-ref-name>jdbc/PegaRULES</res-ref-name>

                                                            <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>

                                                            <res-auth>Container</res-auth>

                                                            <res-sharing-scope>Shareable</res-sharing-scope> <!--Shareable is default -->

</resource-ref>

 

  1. Add the following line below the <description> line:

<lookup-name>java:jboss/PegaRULES</lookup-name>

 

  1. 3. Add the lookup name for the PegaRULES Admin data source:

Locate the PegaRULES Admin datasource resource section. It will look similar to the following:

Also consider that lookup name should be same as your database jndi lookup value.
