Entering from URL mapped link does not allow actions with create work or run activity
We have setup a URL mapping using the following link - https://support.pega.com/discussion/theme-cosmos-configure-url-mapping We have also setup an email correspondence that will use the URL mapped link for user to click and be redirected to the case. User will need to log in prior to clicking. Once logged in and click on the link, it will direct user to open the case. This is working fine, however we realized in the URL its using autothread.
While in the case, when user click on any action that triggers a create work or run activity, the action does nothing. We have tried to trace but it seems like it did not trigger anything.
Is this the case for autothread? And how can we solve this issue?

@MuhammadT1059 This happens because the deep link opens the case on an auto thread, which does not have the full portal context, so client actions like create work or run activity never fire. The fix is to open the case in the main portal thread. In your URL mapping rule, change the action to openWorkByHandle or openWorkByURL and set the thread name to STANDARD or leave it blank so it reuses the portal thread. Also clear any setting that says open in a new thread or auto thread. If you are on Constellation, use the native deep link format that lands inside the portal so the login redirect preserves the full context. Make sure the portal uses a dynamic container or single document so the case is opened as a tab in the same thread. If your button uses a client action that calls run activity, replace it with a server action on a flow action or data transform so it executes with context. After changing the mapping, test by tracing on the server side to confirm the activity starts. This will restore create work and run activity actions from the deep link.
