Embedded page list properties are not exposed by running the "optimize for reporting" wizard after application migration (7.1.9)
On dev environment we have optimized a couple of embedded page list properties for reporting.
We migrated automatically created declare-index rule, index calss, index propertis, index table etc to the testing environment without any problem.
However, we found that we can not rebuild the index table by re-running "optimize for reporting" wizard on the testing environment against those exposed properties.
Findings:
1. The column expose JOB completed 100% without any error, and the "instances" number indicates that there are some old work objects (which has been created before application migration).
2. New work objects (created after application migration) have index table records populated as expected.
Questions:
Is this a known issue? If yes, are there any hot fixes available?
Can we re-run "optimize for reporting" wizard against properties, which has already been exposed, for the purpose of rebuilding index table?

- would it make sense to package the index class Data-Admin-DB-Table instance?
- post import test connect and re-save DADT & Class rule forms.

Hi Phani,
Column populator utility is another option, but it is not the first choice for me.
I still want to know why "optimize for reporting" wizard doesn't work on the testing environment.
I remember that I've done this re-run "optimize for reporting" wizard successfully before on v6.3 environment.

- if we try re-running optimize wizard on the optimized attribute - it might skip reading/learning from OOTB table pr_changelog table ...
- advanced tab of the class should be listing the property...

I still need someone to help answering my initial questions regarding re-running optimizer against already exposed columns after migrating the declare index rules.

I stumbled on your question, and I see that you haven't received the answer you are asking for. I have an idea that is not very certain at all, but it just might be of help. I'll apologize in advance if this is of no use to you whatsoever.

As I mentioned in the post, I can't remember what type of record I had to delete in order to re-optimize a property. Leaving the solution for a moment,
- it may be that you have migrated these mystery records that tell Pega the properties are already optimized
- If so, perhaps they are blocking Pega from re-optimizing the properties and hence blocking the rebuild of the index.
- and if all that is true, it may be that deleting them will help you out. If you subscribe to my post, you should receive a notification when I get an answer.
