E-Mail not received after scheduling the report from report browser
Hi, I am using pega 7.2 and I scheduled a report from report manager portal but I didn't receive any report after specified time. Below is the error message I got from logs. kindly suggest what would be the reason for failure. (pega_integrationengine_default) ERROR - Unexpected exception caught while trying to send an email message with sender ID of and addressee of : javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not convert socket to TLS; nested exception is: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.startTLS(SMTPTransport.java:1999) at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.protocolConnect(SMTPTransport.java:709)

If SSL/TLS secure protocol negotiation is not needed when communicating with an email server, you can disable it in Pega using the following Local-change. Otherwise, you need to provide a secured SMTP port and check on use SSL to establish a secured connection.
Use the following Dynamic system setting to disable STARTTLS.

When the report is scheduled, PRPC uses the email account “Default” of account type “Notify “ for sending the emails to the specified users. Hence, follow the below steps and forward the information requested.
- Verify that the email account "Default" of account type "Notify" is working fine (test connectivity)?
- If yes, enable the debug logging on the following class and replicate the issue "Rule_Obj_Activity.pyActionSendMailReporting.Embed_ScheduledTask_OutputProcessing.Action"
- Replicate the issue and forward us the following information to comment further.
a)Screenshots of the Default email account
b)Pega rules log files for the period of issue replication.

The error you got seems to suggest you haven't set up the required Certificates needed to trust the SMTP server (rather than [say] not enabling TLS):

The SSL Handshake seems to have started, but stopped due to the fact that it couldn't find the Certificate it needs. (Your Email Server Administrator should be able to provide the Certificate [or possibly a 'CA' Certificate which was used to issue that Certificate).
