Dynamically sending Email Sending
Hi,
My requirement is that i have a list of records in the DB table, for Example ID,Name, Mail ID and Mail status. The status of Mail will be "Flase" for all the records and by using an activity i have to send a mail to all the customers in the table whose Mail status is "False" Once the Email is delivered successfully the Mail status in the records should be changed to "True". In the next time when we run an activity it should pic only the "Flase" status records and should send a mail. How can i achieve this using activity, What are the steps i should follow/use? Please answer to my question if the requirement is clear. Thanks in Advance. Version: Pega 8.6

1. Create a data page with report definition where filter condition like IsDelivered = false (considering default value is false)
2. Create a DT/Activity and call SendEmailNotification to send mail and set IsDelivered = true for each element of the list from above data page.
3. Create a Job Scheduler with help of above DT/Activity

@SanjibMaji Thanks for your valuable time in answering to my question, but i have an idea on filtering the values and sending an email only for "Is Delivered =Flase". But in our case i have to a set a value to true in the table for "Is Delivered" , Only when the Email has delivered successfully. "How to identify that whether the emails which we sent are delivered successfully in PEGA. Is there any OOTB classes/tables or Rules to watch there delivery status in pega?

@Naveen3 When Pega send mail to SMTP server and after that if any issue arises that is out of control from Pega !

@SanjibMaji this is not true. You can enable DSN failure emails and know if the email delivery failed. Tying it back to original emails is to be done manually using Message-Id or Reply-To headers. However, it happens asynchronously so it won't be possible to know the status immediately.
