Send Email is not sending email to my email ID.
Hi,I have a requirement to send email after completion of a case to the customer.However even after using Send Email step I am not receiving emails to my email ID.

@TanyaS58 The default (Email account rule) will not be working you can check that by performing test connectivity it will show result as fail You need to configure a working email account rule in your platform for sending correspondence or Email using a send E-mail step (please make sure the test connectivity is success) please find the below document that helps you configuring a working Email Account rule in your platform Thank you !

@TanyaS58using Send email step will not help here please use a activity step in the flow action (utility shape) and in the step "Call SendEmailNotification" and specify the parameters in the dropdown of the step( you can specify the email account that you are going to use in the pyNotifyAccountName ) property and also specify the 1.To address (to make it dynamic specify the property through which you are getting the receivers email ID ) 2.Subject 3.Message 4.Password(sender) 5.SMTP host (from the email account rule-sender) 6. SMTP port (from the email account rule-sender) This will help you send email the email using the account that you configured Thank you !

@Manojkumar_ J I tried this approach however the activity is failing since I am using outlook so SMTP host and SMTP port are not required however ,even in the To email if I enter the my outlook mail ID its not working.Even running the activity stndalone is not working.

@TanyaS58The User ID will be same as your outlook email ID and the password will be your outlook account password in the receiver side please select "use senders ID and password" this will fill the receiver details as well and perform test connectivity Thank you !

@Manojkumar_ J Unfortunately when I tested the connectivity for receivers end I got failure status and as well while sending email using the activity in a utility I got an exception in tracer as well.Attaching the screenshot.Kindly suggest what change do i need to make.

@TanyaS58 I suggested you to configure the sender with SMTP host but from the attachment i am still seeing you are using the MS graph API can you please use SMTP instead for the sender and IMAP for the receiver

@TanyaS58I think that is because of the DSS mentioned in the SS you attached can you please set the "DisableStartTLS" to false, I Think that is blocking the TLS connection from the receiver please let me know if you able to get successful in the test connectivity at the receiver section ! Did you perform a Test Connection for both Send/Receive to ensure the email account is successfully connected to the exchange server?
If yes, please test during the case workflow and check Pega logs for more information to understand the root cause.

@TanyaS58Could you cross-verify the status of the Pega Default email if you are using that to send an external email, if the status displays failure then you will have to configure a new email account using the wizard and select Microsoft Office 365 as the provider for sending a correspondence or Email template using the send E-mail step.

@TanyaS58 If the config is for your company's outlook mail , do check with your IT team since microsoft outlook has few blockers installed and you need to register a new set of credentials for the connection status to be successful. Also what port are you currently using for your configuration?

@TanyaS58 you need to have an actual email id to send email from pega and with that email id you need to create an email account instance in pega application. This email id and email account is to send email from pega, meaning pega requires an email id to send email.
You will be receiving email from this email id which you have used to create email account in pega.

@TanyaS58 i implement send email use case a lot in client projects.
* Normally i would check that an Email Account is set up and tested connectivity successfully.
* Ensure that the agent/JS responsible for sending email is running.
* You could just run OOTB SendEmailNotification activity with parameters to unit test. Trace and see if any error. I have an article that uses the activity (https://support.pega.com/discussion/attach-excel-file-email). I believe SendSimpleEmail activity can be also used to quickly test.
