Do we have any restriction in outbound account to not send sms on weekend in pega marketing
I have a requirement where recurring campaign will run everyday (including weekend) but on weekend we should not send sms to customers ( this is for a particular campaign).
While configuring outbound sms account , I could not find any restriction on days. I saw account availability part is present where we can define only time.
Can anyone please let me know what can be done on outbound account to stop sending sms on weekend in pega marketing.
I am currently using pega marketing version 7.4 and we are upgrading to version 8 but in version 8 also I could see same configuration as version 7.
It would have been great if pega would have given the option for days also in outbound sms account configuration.

As you noted the SMS Account Availability features allows for the configuration of time windows. There is not a day specification. The Campaign, however, can be configured to run only on weekdays. Could you please explain why you are running the Campaign on weekends but want to limit the SMS communications? Will other types of communications be initiated on the weekend?

So the requirement was like
it was a campaign that was based on an attribute which was refreshed daily(weekends included) but they did not wanted that the customers receive the sms on weekends so in order to not loose the customers from those days they want to let the campaign run but to stop them in the outbound account so that they will receive the sms on monday.
There is one more requirement to send sms only till Saturday 2:00 PM.
Please help us with some configuration on outbound account. So that we can have feasibility with days also.

Can you implement a filter at strategy level? Run the campaign every day, block SMS comms at strategy level, and on Monday customers will receive the SMS if they're still eligible. You can apply hour level control as well.

@TaniyaD3 We had a similar requirement.
We have a common campaign for both email and SMS. i.e same proposition having multiple treatment, 1 for SMS and other for E-mail.
Now,SMS we send only on weekdays and E-mail is sent on weekends as well.
In our solution,we generate the output file for SMS mentioning the days SMS to be sent. Now we have 3rd party SMS service provider who executes the SMS sending based on the information received from Pega
