Design Kits -Figma - How to subscribe to get automatic updates ?

My name is Amar and I am a UX Designer for Nordea. I am reviewing Pega and trying to link it to our projects, but I am finding some obstacles. I would therefore really appreciate if you could help me with some questions and guidance.

- I have found the Pega Constellation ’24 file for Figma (https://www.figma.com/community/file/1370754213687263386) and I was wondering if this is the library you keep up to date for your customers.
- I have also seen that you have other files available: Pega Constellation ’23, Pega Constellation Early Adopter, Pega Constellation 8.8, etc. (https://www.figma.com/@Pegasystems) and I am wondering which one is the best suitable for me and my team (which one is the actual library we should be following, or at least what are the differences between files).
- In order to connect your design system to my projects, how may I do so? I am not sure if I have to save the file from the first bullet point above and then publish it as a library to my team. If I do so, will I get your updates right away to my projects? Or will I have to always download your latest file and update my projects by hand?
- Lastly, I have seen that in Pega Constellation ’24 there is a page called “Atomic parts only – Do Not Use”. In this file there are very important components needed for any design, such as the Main navigation. I am therefore requesting further clarification on how to use your design system if it seems crucial components are not meant to be used.

Thanks for writing in, and great questions by the way. I'll do my best to explain.
- You should use the Figma library that matches the version you'll be designing for. So if your application is built on Pega Infinity '24.1, use the Constellation '24 library. Subscriptions, etc. are in reference to Sketch, which, after Constellation '23, is no longer being supported.
- To find out what's new from version to version, visit the "What's New" portion of our docs. We try to stay in sync with each releases updates. If something is missing, reach out to [email protected]
- If you need help understanding how to use a Figma Community library, here's a great article to get you started.
- As for the "Atomic parts" aspect of the library, Constellation is a bit different than say, something like Bootstrap or our section-based UI Kit technology. It has all the in-built prescribed design patterns already to be configured for your needs. Atomic parts support those experiences and provide no manual configuration within the Pega Platform itself. Atomic parts are the items that may help you extend Constellation with a React team on your side however.
