Date field dropdown with MM/DD/YYYY format
We have a requirement to show date field on UI using drop downs. We used OOTB pxDateTime control but the month drop down is shown with text fields (JAN,FEB,MAR...ect). Our requirement is to show using numbers ( 01,02,03...11,12). Is there any way we can achieve this by extending pxDatetime control or any other alternative approach ? The reason we want to extend pxDateTime control is to support all event-action configurations.

You can force the input to display as read-only formatting where you can define the formatting as you described.
And you can switch to dropdowns.
However, I do not think you can have both though. At least not OOTB anyways. Seems like a reasonable enhancement request to submit, but even if implemented will not help you today since it would only come in a future release.
Else, I think this is going to require a custom control or something to that nature.

@Rett_Hean_GCS, thank you for your reply. We need them in both edit and read only mode. Is there any way we can extend pxDateTime into our application layer and change the source feed for month drop down ? This will help us to not to wait for future releases.

It is not possible to extend pxDateTime control to show month numbers in dropdown mode in the application layer. This requires changes in the platform.
