Column deletion from DBTable without DB access

We want to delete the DB table column which is optimised, but we don't have access to the DB.

I guess there isn't any possible approach for achieving this from the application and if I'm not wrong, modify schema wizard also allows only the creation of columns but not dropping. Approaching your DBA for drop/deleting of the column seems the only way.
