Cluster Nodes Visibility in Cluster Management Tab.
Hi Team,
We are using a Load balancer in production and we have two different server nodes to use for load balancing. at LB side, we can see two nodes are visible. But in Designer Studio, under Cluster Management tab, we can see only one node. Second node is not displaying there. In our lower enviourment, I can see two nodes in PEGA but in Prod , only one is visible.
I have compared prconfig.xml for nodes in SMA for both the enviourments and it is same, so nothing is getting setup via prconfig.xml. Is it something related to LB or pega configuration?

Hi Sandeep,
Yes, in this table we keep information about node in cluster. Sometimes eg. during the restarts - old entries remain in table and cause some issues related to cluster in environment.
Solution is:
- clear table
- perform cluster restart ( all nodes - apptiers, util, etc...)
- as soon as node will up - entry will appear in table and it should fix the issue with visibility of nodes in system.

Hi Sandeep,
Could you please check pr_sys_statusnodes table. You should have there only working, correct nodes. Nodes should be also in "Running" state.
In case if you'll find stale, outdated nodes- please clear those table and perform cluster restart all nodes. Information about proper nodes should goes to table and you should see correct numbers of nodes in Cluster management.

Hi There,
Thanks for your quick response. I checked this table for lower enviourment and yes both nodes are up and running there. For prod enviourment, I will check the table now.
Just to understand, we just need to remove the entries from the table and restart the node server? These node entries will be coming automatically in Cluster management and DB table or do we need to perform anything more at PEGA side?
My understanding is that these DB entries and Cluster management entries are automatically populated based on LB configuration and we dont need any changes at PEGA end. Please correct me if I am wrong here.
