close case automatically after so many days

How can I implement a functionaliy to close the case atutomatically after so many days if no action is taken?

Considering Inflighted items, you can write down agent(Batch) to close outdated workitems if assignments don't have SLA defined before.

Using Overallsla, can also fulfill you requirements(Pega 6)

you can use SLA at Flow level to resolve work items(Pega 7)

You can have a case/work object level SLA where you can have an escalation activity which will change the stage of the case to a resolution stage.
