How to automatically return Home after closing a work object?
Hi all,
after completing a flow action in my work object, I have a requirement to always return back to default screen of Portal (Home tab). I tried using the "Close the work object" option in the flow action's "Back-to-back processing configuration", but it redirects me to the screen from which I opened the case (executing the doClose() script in the OOTB AutoClose section).
Do you know any possible way to customize this section by using another kind of script?
Thank you,
Danilo

From which screen the Work object is getting opened? Is it not from Home screen. How is your work area configured in the portal?

@Abhilash_K it is getting opened from the OOTB Review Harness (in particular, OOTB pxCaseMain section)

Hi @DaniloM7, in your flow action's Action tab please try setting "If an assignment is not being performed" --> "Close the work object".
Thanks,
Saurabh.

Hi @SaurabhG7134, I'm still using this configuration but it doesn't work as needed: the OOTB "Close the work object" executes the Harness "AutoClose", which embedded non-auto generated section "AutoClose"; in the section's HTML, I found the doClose() script is executed.
As a result, when users finish the assignment, they're redirected to the screen from where they opened the case: I need to always redirect users to "Home" screen of "UserPortal".

@DaniloM7 If your configuration is like this Home -> Review Harnesss -> Perform Harness
As work objects are opened in Dynamic Container/Ajax container, once the work object is closed it will go the last work area which it opened from. If your requirement is to directly go to Home by not coming back to Review Harness, then while opening the Perform Harness Close the Review Harness. Once the Perform is completed u will be seeing the Home Tab.
I am assuming that in your current scenario it is going to Review Harness/Harness where it is launched from.

Hi @Abhilash_K, my configuration is exactly matching the one you described above.
Do you have any suggestion on how to close the Review Harness while launching the Perform one? Can I use some OOTB features or do I need to create a custom one?
Thanks

@DaniloM7 If you configure your Max Documents to 2. Then it will automatically take care of closing the last one and open the recent one. In this way at any point of time you can have max of 2 documents in the portal.
Open your portal Harness and refer to the Dynamic container configured in the application by default it will be set to 8, update this number to 2.
