We have 2 chatbots and we're looking into some things to make it look and feel nicer for customers. We hope to make the use of space in our bot a bit more efficiënt, but sometimes our bot has to give an answer that doesn't fit the whole chatbot screen as it is right now.
We noticed when that happens that the bot shows the end of the message, so the customer has to scroll up to the start of the answer. We would like it to start at the top of the message, so the customer can start reading and has to scroll down to the end.
Has anyone here done something like that? We would love to hear some ideas. :-)
I can see why this could be a problem when user sees large text. It is possible to change the scrolling behaviour but the corresponding script is present in final rule. We need to use more modern scrollIntoView native function here to control the scrolling. You can open an SR/INC to get this fixed in latest patch. Instead of animate function, we can use some variant of the following in pega.ui.NLP.SimulatorUtils.scrollToBottom function -
