Changing from alternate to primary stage
I am jumping from 2nd step of 2nd stage to alternate stage and routing back from alternate stage to exact 2nd step of 2nd stage. Is this possible?

It is possible, you can have a flag set on the alternate stage entry. Then when you change stage the 2nd stage, add a decision in the stage which checks if the flag is set then move to the 2nd step.

Please configure the conditional step based on a flag on Step 1 to skip it by configuring whenrule /expression if this comes from an alternate stage.
