Case Status on Stage Entry Needs to be different once Case is opened on "GO" button click
Hello ,
I have a requirement.
A case of "Test" Case type is created and entered into the stage with a Stage Entry status as "X" . Till that point the Case Status to Remain "X".
But the moment the case is opened from a List by clicking "GO" to the first flow action of the stage the Case status should change to "Y" .
I have tried achieving this by updating the same in defaults activities that get called when case is opened, but looks like when ultimately case commits it reverts back to old status to "X".
Is there any other way to achieve this or something can be done here to achive the status?

For Stage Entry Status, You can configure the Status at pyDefault DT in your case type. As for the next status that you want to set when the case is opened, you can add the logic in the flow action Pre DT of the assignment you are opening on.
You can also use the Updatestatus OOTB rule to update the status

@PrakashDeep Thank you very much for Checking and replying. This solution did not work as I can see same problem as my earlier approach where the Pre DT changes does not commit to case's changes. More over with this approach Case status is not getting set also.

My 2 cents..
This may not be a good practice to update the status when the user clicks on "GO" for an assignment.
If you configure status "X" on Stage 1 and assume it has 2 assignments, then you can update the status on the assignment level "Y" on 1st assignment and the status as "Z" when the case is reached on the 2nd assignment. Ideally, you can configure the status on the Assignment to update the status to achieve your requirements instead of updating the status on click of the "Go" button.
