Cannot complete exercise: From Marketing to Fulfiment (HandOffSiteExample doesnt work)

I have deployed the MS1.war as part of the Exercise "from marketing to fulfilment" however when I click on one of the emails that are generated as part of the exercise, when the URL is opened, the microsite page just shows an error message

There has been an issue; please consult your system administrator. 

See attached screenshot. I have tried restarting the VM, and tried different emails, however the result is the same.

Hi,

This may prove a little more difficult. I have tried the exercise on 5.1.2 system and it worked fine.

I think the first step is to verify microsite functionality independent of the exercise

Could you please try http:// Proprietary information hidden/MS/index.html?Site=Subscription

then try simple http:// Proprietary information hidden/MS1/index.html?Site=HandOffSiteExample

Finally, let's verify that the artifacts import has worked correctly

1.

a) Login as MarketingAdministrator@HandOffEx password rules

b) Launch Pega Marketing Portal from the Launch menu

c) expand Contents and click on Microsites. You should see HandOffSiteExample microsite

 

2. Verify if MS1 was deployed correctly

a) navigate to http:// Proprietary information hidden

b) From the Application server information select Manager App link (username=Admin / password=password)

c) check if MS1 application is there and started

Hi Paul,

Both http:// Proprietary information hidden/MS1/index.html?Site=Subscription and http:// Proprietary information hidden/MS1/index.html?Site=HandOffSiteExample give me the error message I sent.

I Logged in as MarketingAdministrator@HandOffEx, launched Pega Marketing Portal from the Launch menu, expanded Contents and clicked on Microsites. I could see HandOffSiteExample microsite

From the Application server information selected Manager App link, I could see the MS1 application there and it was started

Customer reverted to a previous snapshot and re-imported the artifacts. This has resolved the issue.
